Janne Malmros

Janne Malmros is an artist whose work is characterised by interests in botany, entomology, geometry, history, folklore and pattern. Investigation, experimentation and installation each play an important part in her practise, where the choice of materials is informed by research and the idea underlying each individual project. Janne has recently been spending time in Kabul, working for a local NGO, conducting workshops for local artists and doing research for her forthcoming exhibition at the Florence Nightingale Museum following her residence there. She is currently working on a series of botanical illustrations for a book on useful plants of Badakhshan and Little Pamir, Northern Afghanistan.
