Telling tales. About the politics of love and loss. In an attempt to untangle the complexity, Laura Moreton-Griffiths has been delving through autobiographical and cultural memories. Backwards to go forwards. And making art. It’s not the things that are wrong but the ideologies. ‘Matriarchs, Monsters and Feral Children’ is narrative mashup inspired by Mary Wollstonecraft, equality activist, philosopher, hyena in petticoats, monstrous half-being. Laura studied at St Martins School of Art 1986, Camberwell College of Arts BA (Hons) Painting 2008, Turps Correspondence Course 2017 and is part of the London Creative Network at SPACE. She exhibits widely and has work in private collections in the UK and internationally.
